Meet the artist
Hello! My name is Zuzana Kochánková. I am a Slovak architect and painter whose work connects historical architecture, cultural memory, and the inner world of the human experience.
My paintings are inspired by real places and by the atmosphere, history, and emotions they carry. I work with both architectural heritage and intangible cultural traditions — the ways people think, live, remember, and shape the spaces around them.
In my recent work, architecture becomes more than a background. It merges with the human figure and reflects memory, identity, and emotional states. Through layered compositions, light, and symbolic space, I create paintings that carry atmosphere, depth, and a strong sense of presence.

Places with their stories
This new body of work makes a shift. A deeper exploration of space, memory and a guiet tension between architecture, history and emotion.
