Tradition Alive explores the living energy of folk culture through the presence of traditional garments and the expressive movement of folk dress in dance. As the body moves, fabric carries rhythm, color, and memory from one generation to the next.

In these paintings, traditional costume is not treated as folklore decoration, but as a vessel of identity and cultural continuity.

I see this series as a loose continuation of a dialogue opened by Slovak painters Martin Benka and Ján Hála, who devoted their work to the visual poetry of folk life.

Tradition here is not preserved — it moves, transforms, and remains alive.
