Such a Pretty Tower brings together a woman, the Campanile of St Mark’s in Venice, and a rooster in an unexpected story about inheritance, strength, and possibility.

The tower represents the generations of women who came before us — the lives, choices, sacrifices, and experiences that quietly form the structure beneath our feet. We may stand alone, but never entirely without what came before.

The rooster carries a different meaning. He represents the impossible task that, against all expectations, suddenly becomes possible — the moment when something once dismissed as unlikely becomes real.

Venice appears here not as a literal view, but as a layered place of memory, pattern, architecture, and personal meaning. The painting belongs to the Ladies of Places series, where woman and place become part of the same story.
