This photograph shows two paintings, Summer Pieces and Summer Pieces 2, installed in the interior of a private collector in Sweden.
Both works belong to an earlier exploration of rhythm, layering, and the quiet language of ornament. Vertical structures, subtle grids, and translucent layers of color create a sense of depth that shifts gently with light.
A small pink pelican appears as a fleeting presence within the surface — almost like a memory passing through the structure of the image.
Light plays a crucial role in the placement of these works. As it moves across the gold leaf surface, it activates reflections that resemble sunlight dancing on water — a motif that quietly runs through both paintings.
Placed within a passage of the interior, the paintings extend the rhythm of the space. Seen within the collector’s home, they become part of a lived atmosphere — where time, light, and memory continue to unfold.
