“Tempest in Bratislava” reflects the tension within Slovak society — a dance of contrasting values. Figures in traditional folk costumes move between the travertine facades of Hotel Kyjev and the Prior department store, embodying a dialogue between heritage and progress.

At times we cling to the past out of fear of the future, yet in doing so we risk harming both. The painting invites reflection: will we allow this duality to divide us, or can we find unity within its complexity?
